"I Don't Know Why" is the second single taken from The Dining Rooms' new album "Lost in the Spinning Sound", which will be released in early 2026 and will be entirely sung by Chiara Castello.

It is an urban funk ballad, with a powerful and deep rhythm accompanied by great bass lines and cinematic guitars and piano.

"I Don't Know Why" recounts the sense of loss and confusion that comes with the end of a relationship. It is an intimate consideration on the fragility of personal bonds suspended between light and shadow, swept away by a tide of recollections and failures.

The track will be released on all digital platforms and on a 7" record. It will be accompanied by a video featuring illustrations by Sara Vivan, whose work accompanies the visual component of this album.

The 7" B-side is a remix of "On And On" - taken from the previous album "Songs to Make Love to" - by FUTURESLOWDUBDISCO, a music project initiated by Roman producers Simone Ticconi and Francesco Colagrande. The duo explores soundscapes that combine downtempo, minimal techno and dub.

A blend of intense and hypnotic atmospheres, that swing between the contemplative dimension of listening and the pulsating energy of club culture, perfect for the voice of Egeeno, from the Tropicantesimo collective, and for turning a soul ballad into an unforgettable rhythmic, ethereal and psychedelic journey.
